Airplane Ear - sometimes called altitude ear - is known medically as barotrauma, brotitis media, or aerotitis media.

According to Dr. Laurence Knott, unequal pressure that develops between the outer ear and middle ear is the cause of the pain of Airplane Ear. "The air pressure on either side of the eardrum should be equal," he states. "Airplane ear develops when the air does not travel up the Eustachian tube to equalize the pressure when the plan is descending." (See Patient.com)

Symptoms of Airplane Ear can occur in one or both ears. According to the Mayo Clinic, these symptoms may include:

- Discomfort or pain in your ear

- Feeling of fullness or stuffiness in your ear

- Muffled hearing or slight to moderate hearing loss

Longer lasting and more severe Airplane Ear may include:

- Moderate to severe pain

- Moderate to severe hearing loss

- Ringing in your ear (tinnitus)

- Spinning sensation (vertigo)

PreshEar works to prevent symptoms of Airplane Ear by delivering a small amount of medicinal ointment to the opening of the ear canal. It is believed that the active ingredients in PreshEar increase blood flow and reduce inflammation in the tissue around the eardrum and leading to the Eustachian tube allowing for the body to more naturally equalize the pressure on both sides of the eardrum. Additional benefits are experienced due to the antispasmodic and pain relieving properties of the active ingredients.

In order to prevent the pain and pressure that occurs when flying, purchase PreshEar and enjoy the flying experience an a whole new way.
